WORKING AREAS

Rent A Bob operates primarily in and around the four major cities in the Netherlands. If your destination falls outside of these areas, an additional fee may be applied. The Rent A Bob app displays the correct rates (provided your trip is within the Netherlands).

THE TEN MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The driver is picked up by a colleague Bob or travels independently. That can be via public transport, Uber, a shared scooter, or bike. In some cases, the driver first places a mode of transport at your final destination so that they can continue immediately afterward.

That depends on the number of kilometers of the ride, any stops along the way, and whether you ask the driver to wait after arrival. The first 10 minutes are always covered by Rent A Bob, but after that, the meter starts running. Check the rates.

At Rent A Bob, you pay easily afterward. You complete your ride, and we’ll send you an invoice with a convenient payment link. Do you own a business? Let us know, and we’ll issue the invoice in your company’s name.

If you call us in the evening and need a driver as soon as possible, the driver’s arrival time depends on how busy the evening is. The Rent A Bob dispatcher can inform you about the waiting times. However, always allow for up to an hour. We’re rarely far off.

Of course. Maybe not as experienced as you, but when a driver applies at Rent A Bob, they are screened and, if necessary, trained for safe, comfortable, and responsible driving. Our drivers are experienced in handling all types of cars. Check us out on Instagram: @rentabob_nl.

Changes or cancellations can be made up to an hour before the scheduled departure time. We aim to be as flexible as possible. However, if you cancel after that time, we reserve the right to charge the full ride amount.

Rides booked under the early bird discount can be rescheduled or canceled until 12:00 PM on the day of the booking. See the page about early bird discounts for more details.

Any potential damage (though the chances are extremely small) is covered by your own car insurance. Do you have third-party liability insurance? Then you drive at your own risk with the Bob driver. If you are fully insured, Rent A Bob provides free additional coverage for loss of no-claim discounts up to 3 years or the deductible.

You can trust us to do everything possible to get you – and your car – home safely and with a smile.

If a Bob receives a fine for speeding or improper parking (this happens rarely, but still), the fine will be paid by Rent A Bob. Do you promise not to pressure the Bob to drive faster than the legal limit?

When we can plan your ride in advance (meaning we receive your booking well ahead of time), we’ll assign a driver and share their phone number with you. If you book last-minute, we’ll send the nearest available driver to you. The driver will message you en route so you can stay in direct contact.
